everything in life should be colorful and wonderful. amanda lynn. 16. junior. virginia.

Anonymous: I was the one who asked you about relationships a couple of days ago. My best friend and I kind of like eachother, but I don't know what to do. Is it worth taking the risk? I don't want to lose my best friend... Do you regret it, or are you guys still best friends? HELP

OMG THIS IS CRAZY BECAUSE IM GOING THROUGH THE EXACT THING RIGHT NOW. I’m actually kinda almost in a relationship with this guy right now that I’ve been best friends with for years.

My Advice: Don’t rush into it too fast. When it’s between two friends, you sometimes miss that “getting to know someone” phase and also the “butterfly in your stomach” phase. Those are both really important in a relationship! Make sure you don’t get too serious too fast or it might burn out just as fast.

My ex and I aren’t really friends anymore. We aren’t on bad terms, and I don’t really see him as an “ex”. We just grew apart and are just different people now. I think it is completely worth the risk however. If you’re best friends with him he is probably a really good guy, and girls need good guys as boyfriends. If you don’t want a good guy as a boyfriend you are probably insane. With this new guy, I was contemplating because I didn’t want to lose our friendship. But in the end, I decided that since we’re only in high school, we might not even be friends after college or even later, so why not take the risk? It could be a wonderful relationship you’re missing out on! Relationships and friendships end, its just a fact of life. So don’t worry about the “risk” because frankly its just a dumb excuse for being scared of losing someone that could be the one.

lol that was a lot more than I was planning on writing and I could have totally written a whole novel on the “friend zone” subject. Hope this helps! Feel free to send another message if you’d like more advice cause I really am in the same situation. Hope it all works out :)

Anonymous: Hi! Have you ever been in a relationship? If so, what was it like? Just wondering, because you are pretty! :)

thank you so much! :)

I’ve only been in one relationship, last summer and it lasted like two months. It was good, but it was both of our’s first real relationship, so we made a lot of mistakes and it was just kinda awkward. We were more like best friends who called each other boyfriend and girlfriend.

can someone please tell me who made it a rule that to be dating someone or even be interested in someone, you constantly have to be texting them to the point where all you have left to talk about is what you’re doing at every waking moment of your day?
